PNG Billiards and Snooker vice president John Chan said nomination forms can be picked up from the Dragon’s Den, Lamana Q Club, Laguna Hotel and Aviat Club.He said the registration fees are K150 to participate in the B Grade or minor title and K200 for the A Grade or major title.Chan said there will be only 40 players for the A Grade and 48 players for the B Grade.”It is important that the players nominate and pay their registration fees early as it will be ‘first come, first serve’ basis for this prestigious event on the PNG Snooker calendar,” said ChanHe said this year’s titles were significant as the event would coincide with PNG’s 40th Independence celebrations.”We are awaiting approval from the National Events Minister Justin Tkatchenko to use the 40th anniversary logo on the uniforms to make it a special event,” said Chan.He said companies who wished to be sponsors of this event may do so.”To support this special event, we have the platinum (K5,000), gold (K2,500), silver (K1,500) and bronze (K750) sponsorships available for those companies who want to support snooker in PNG,” said Chan.Nominations and registration will close on September 7th. The snooker titles will run from September 10th to the 20th.
