April 1, 2019 /Sports News – Local Hale Named National, Conference Player of the Week Robert Lovell FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailPROVO, Utah – BYU senior right fielder Brock Hale was named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week and the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Hale led the Cougars to four wins in four games on the week, including victories over Oregon and three over Saint Mary’s. Hale batted .500 with a slugging percentage of 1.312, going 8-for-16 with a double and four home runs, adding nine RBIs, six runs and two walks. Hale hit a home run in the first three games of the week, including two homers in the series-opening game against the Gaels – a three-run shot in the first inning and a solo home run in the fourth to finish with four RBIs.
